Tournament Dates: May 12-14, 2017

Location: Midlothian, VA – River City SportsPlex

Format: Showcase tournament with five (5) scheduled games per team. Games will be 11 v 11 on full-sized, pristine sport turf fields prepped and groomed for field hockey play.

Times: Games will start no earlier than 5pm on Friday, May 12th and will be complete by 4pm on Sunday, May 14th. ALL TEAMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE TO PLAY AT ANY SCHEDULED TIME.

Weather Policy: Inclement weather is out of the control of the tournament directors, officials, and site managers. In the event of thunder and/or lightning, all games will be suspended for 20 minutes from the last occurrence. Games will resume at their regularly schedule times. Cancelled games may not be rescheduled. If weather disrupts scheduled games, Management has the authority to adjust the schedule as needed, including, shortening games, adjusting the schedule, etc. In the event of extreme weather, it is up to the tournament directors, officials, and the site managers as to whether the conditions are deemed safe to play on. All decisions final. No refunds will be issued for game cancellations, due to acts of God (i.e. rain, severe wind and/or thunder and lightning).

Pricing: $1,400 team registration fee. $700 non-refundable deposit charged during registration.

Refund Policy: If a team drops out of the tournament between the day of registration and the balance payment deadline (2/1/17) AND has another team in the tournament, the $700 may be transferred to that team. If they do not have another registered team the $700 is NOT refundable.

If a team drops out between the balance deadline and March 15th AND there is a waitlisted team that can take the spot, the balance payment may be refunded. If the spot CANNOT be filled the balance payment may NOT be refunded.

After April 1st, no refunds or transfers even if the spot can be filled by another team.

House Teams: The NFHCA is offering student-athletes not affiliated with a club program the opportunity to play on a “House” team. The registration fee will be $150.00. Note – if you register for a house team and are unable to participate for any reason, a refund will only be offered in the case of injury OR if your spot can be filled with a waitlisted player. A small processing fee will be assessed in both cases.

Divisions:2018, 2019, 2020
Note: Teams will be permitted to roster no more than three (3) players of the next youngest grad year. For example, a team may roster UP TO three (3) 2019s on a 2018 roster in the 2018 division. Players cannot play down in any division. Players cannot play up more than one division. ie no 2020s on a 2018 roster.
IMPORTANT: If you register for the wrong division and are required to change, it is important to note that that division may be full and you may be required to go onto the waitlist.
