Dear Volunteer Team Member,

The Charles Schwab Cup Championship will be held at Phoenix Country Club in Phoenix, Arizona from November 2 – 8, 2020. This is the event’s fourth year at this historic venue, and we are excited to continue growing our partnerships within the local Phoenix and Scottsdale communities.

Annually, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship features the top 36 Charles Schwab Cup points leaders, competing for the PGA TOUR Champions most coveted title: Charles Schwab Cup champion. However, due to COVID-19, the 2020 Charles Schwab Cup Championship will be converted to a regular season event, featuring an expanded field of 81 players and an additional pro-am day scheduled for Thursday, November 5.

As is always the case, but especially with exponential players and pro-am guests arriving to Phoenix Country Club in 2020, the volunteer force will be a vital part of our success and we thank you for your interest in supporting professional golf in Phoenix.

To reserve your place as a 2020 Volunteer for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, please note the following:

Volunteer Registration: Complete and submit your online application form with your payment. Your volunteer package payment allows us to offset costs and donate more funds to the community. Committees will be filled on a first come, first served basis (you can’t hold a spot without payment), so please register early to ensure your committee of choice.

  • NEW FOR 2020! If you are a returning 2019 tournament volunteer, your volunteer package cost is $55 if you register PRIOR to April 12.
  • All 2019 and new volunteers who register after April 13 the volunteer package cost is $60.
  • After your application has been submitted, you will receive an email summarizing your application. Once the tournament staff has reviewed and approved your application, you will receive a second email confirming the committee for which you have been assigned. Your Committee Chairman should be in touch with you by mid-September to coordinate your schedule.
  • Refunds will only be given for emergency situations. Refunds will not be given after October 16.
Junior Youth/College Volunteer Registration:
  • The Junior Volunteer Program is open to youth, ages 13–18, to participate in the tournament. Junior volunteer committees include volunteer hq, standard bearers and ambassador program.
  • The Pro-Am Amateur Caddie Committee is also open to Junior Volunteers, ages 15-18.

Volunteer Committee Assignments: You may choose three (3) committee preferences, but you will only be placed in one committee. Please be sure to read the Committee Descriptions to ensure that you understand the time commitment for certain committees (CLICK HERE).

Adult volunteers must be 18 years of age to participate and are required to work shifts on a minimum of three (3) days assigned by your Committee Chairman. Shift lengths vary between committees so take this into consideration when selecting your committees. All volunteers are required to provide availability for at least one (1) weekday and one (1) day on the weekend.

Volunteer Apparel: All volunteers, committee chairmen and division chairmen are required to purchase and wear the 2020 Official Volunteer Uniform package which includes a golf shirt and outerwear (provided by Greg Norman) and matching headwear (provided by Ahead). It is your responsibility to provide your own khaki colored bottoms of appropriate length.

* Junior Youth and College volunteers and adult volunteers on the Pro-Am Caddie committee will receive complimentary volunteer packages and have different uniform requirements. Please visit the volunteer website for further detail.

Volunteer Badge: Your Volunteer badge will admit you to the Championship, Monday through Sunday. This badge is general admission grounds access only, Volunteer HQ and access into your designated place of assignment for your committee. While your badge should be worn every day that you attend the tournament, your volunteer uniform should ONLY be worn on the days you are volunteering.

Volunteer Meals: Every volunteer will receive one meal voucher per working shift(s). During the morning hours, coffee, tea, soda/water and breakfast foods for volunteers are complimentary at Volunteer HQ.
