The Dominion Energy Charity Classic is the first event of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoff series featuring the top-72 players on PGA TOUR Champions. The 2018 tournament will be hosted October 15 – 21 at The Country Club of Virginia, James River Course.

Over the past two years, we have had over 1,200 volunteers each year serve across 27 committees. Volunteers are the lifeblood of all professional golf tournaments, so your dedication is crucial to the success of the event. We greatly appreciate your participation!

To understand the responsibilities and time commitment, applicants are encouraged to review the 2018 Committee Descriptions prior to completing your registration Once you have submitted your registration, it will be sent to the tournament staff for review. Within two weeks of your submission you will receive a confirmation email with your 2018 committee assignment.

New Volunteers
Those who are interested in signing up as a new volunteer can identify their top three committee choices on their application and will be placed on one of those committees, based on availability. All volunteer committees are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and the tournament cannot guarantee availability.

Returning Volunteers
Returning volunteers are guaranteed a spot on the committee they were assigned to in 2017 if they register by March 22. If returning volunteers are interested in participating on other committees, they can indicate their top three committee choices on their application and will receive priority placement if their desired com¬mittee has availability. The tournament cannot guarantee availability.

Junior Volunteer Program
The Junior Volunteer Program is open to youth, ages 13–18, to participate in the tournament. Available committees for Junior Volunteers are Standard Bearers (ages 13 – 18) and Pro-Am Caddie (ages 15 – 18).

All volunteers are required to work at least three shifts. Shifts are approximately four (4) to six (6) hours in length. In signing up to volunteer, you are committing to your designated Committee Chairman and fellow volunteers. We ask that if you have any conflicts that arise after you have registered to please notify your Committee Chairman or the tournament staff immediately.

The Dominion Energy Charity Classic asks all volunteers* to purchase an $85 volunteer package (retail value of over $300). With net proceeds from the tournament being distributed to charity, the payment helps the event subsidize the cost of the volunteer uniform as well as all of the items in the package, which could help to increase the net distribution. All adult volunteers* are required to wear the official volunteer uniform while volunteering. The 2018 volunteer uniforms (golf shirt and outerwear) are Greg Norman brand, which is a change from the 2016 & 2017 uniforms. Greg Norman shirts and pullovers run true to size, so please order appropriately. We HIGHLY suggest you review the size charts and photo comparisons between the 2017 and 2018 uniform sizing (CLICK HERE).

* Junior volunteers and adult volunteers on the Pro-Am Caddie committee will receive complimentary volunteer packages and have different uniform requirements. Please visit the volunteer website for further detail.

A monthly Volunteer Newsletter will be sent via email to all registered volunteers with important tournament updates including information on Uniform Distribution, Training, the Volunteer Appreciation Party, Tournament Week Schedule and more.
