Dear Prospective Volunteer,
The Presidents Cup 2009 has found
its new home at Harding Park Golf Course in
San Francisco, CA
.
We hope everyone is as excited as we are for a successful
week of world-class golf.
The Presidents Cup has grown from little more than an idea in the early ‘90s to the incredible event it is today – a world-class competition that brings together the game’s best in the spirit of goodwill and friendship. The event represents all that is good about the game of golf, and in 2009 fans in Northern California and the millions watching around the world will be treated to a display of competitive fire and incomparable sportsmanship. After the battle between the two teams has come to an end, players from both teams are given an equal share of the tournaments proceeds to donate to charities of their choice. In 2007, those donations totaled $4.2 million, bringing the total charitable contributions through the lifetime of the event to an astounding $17.75 million. San Francisco’s First Tee program will be one of the main beneficiaries of The Presidents Cup 2009.
We invite you to be a part of the drama and excitement that is guaranteed to come from The Presidents Cup 2009.
